With the bad effect on the production and human life that the changes of climate have, carbon emission reduction has been well known by people all over the world. According to the fourth assessment report by IPCC, the greenhouse gas emissions of buildings will account for about 30 percent of the total in the world until the year of 2030, regardless of the economic development speed. With the development of hospitals, the energy consumption of hospital buildings is greater and greater. Although the increace of energy consumption is mainly caused by the nature and characteristics of hospitals, there is still great potential of reduction through the rational design and operation. Energy efficiency trading is a kind of market mechanism of reducing carbon emission. The key content is that the building owner takes technical and management measure to make the energy efficiency higher than the baseline, in order to get economic benefits by energy efficiency trading. Obviously, the determination of the baseline is the base of energy efficiency trading for medical health buildings. In this paper, the baseline for energy efficiency trading of medical health buildings is studied through the method of investigation, testing, mathematical analysis and building energy simulation. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, 22 hospitals are investigated in Tianjin. The detailed content is as follows: basic information, hospital information, energy bills and equipment list. At the same time, the flow of the municipal pipe network, indoor temperature, and outdoor temperature are tested. All of these establish the data base for the determination of baseline and the calculation of carbon emission reductions.Secondly, this paper analysis the influencing factors on energy consumption of medical health buildings, using partial correlations and multi linear regression analysis in SPSS software. The effect size sequence of the influencing factors on energy consumption per unit area is obtained, as well as the regression model of energy consumption per unit area.Thirdly, referring to the baseline method of CDM, four kinds of baseline scenario are set in the paper basing on the investigative data. The baseline values in the recommended baseline scenario are as follows: the energy consumption baseline for general hospital is 68.92kgce/m2·a, and the emission baseline of which is 157.29 kgCO2/m2·a; while the energy consumption baseline for specialist hospital is 68.92kgce/m2·a, and the emission baseline of which is 130.46 kgCO2/m2·a.Finally, the influence of heat source and cool source on energy consumption and carbon emissions is studied by using building energy simulation software eQUEST. Conclusion is obtained that the energy consumption with ground source heat pump system is 20.80 kgce/m2·a less than the system of electric refrigeration and municipal network, while the emission with ground source heat pump system is 56.36kgCO2/m2·a less than the system of electric refrigeration and municipal network.
