With the gradual advance of judicial reform, the modern concept of justice has also undergone a qualitative change. As the national carrier of the legal system, court buildings also play an important role in deepening judicial reform, as well as promoting the modern principle of justice——"fair, just and transparent". The indoor and outdoor architectural design of buildings not only relates to practicability and functionality, but also contains the values of the users and transmits the culture. Therefore, in the course of court buildings designing, it's necessary that we not only pay attention to the functional requirements of different users, but also take into account the judicial principle and the unique culture, it's helpful that we not only give full attention to the traditional image and meaning of justice, but also be fully aware of the purpose and characteristics of modern justice.This article is based on the indoor and outdoor design of Fengcheng City court in Jiangxi Province. Through fully summarizing and understanding the purpose and principle of interior and exterior design as well as the court building's design, it summarizes and analyzes the representative domestic and foreign modern court building designs. Furthermore, this article concludes the development tendency of domestic court building designs. At last, through the guidance of theory, it analyzes in detail the practicability, valuable and cultural characteristics of Fengcheng City court, ponder on how to create a legal and cultural characteristics of the architectural image and how to create a strong culture and legal atmosphere for court buildings.
