Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a customer demand-driven product design and development methods, its aim is to meet customer demand, improve product quality, win the market competition. It uses a systematic, disciplined approach to acquisition and analysis of customer needs, and uses the quality of housing as a tool to translate customer needs into a variety of quality characteristics, to ensure the final product to meet customer needs to the greatest degree. As a planning tool, it is not able to precisely define the relationships between a variety of quality characteristics, so when used alone will produce some fuzzy and uncertain results. The final product may deviate from the customer's needs. Design of Experiments (DOE) aims to identify the true relationship between the factor and response, and determine the best factor level settings to achieve optimal response. But the DOE as a quality engineering tool, consider customer's needs less. Therefore, if integrated use of both methods, you can make the two complement each other, to maximize the quality improvement effect.This thesis study on integrated application of QFD and DOE, starting from the QFD, reviewed and summarized its development and applications, analyzed the shortcomings and defects in the theory and its application, and find out the direction and methods to improve it. Meanwhile, conduct in-depth analysis of DOE's thinking and its application methods. After carried out detailed comparative analysis from the application objective, problem-solving ideas and procedures, specific application methods, information sharing and other aspects between QFD and DOE, This thesis argues that the integration between the two is not only necessary but also very feasible. Integrated application of QFD and DOE can achieve functional complementary and leads to better application results. Then, studied the general idea of integrated application of QFD and DOE and build a general model of integration between the two. On this basis, from the view point of functional complementary, studied the integration methods and application object between QFD and orthogonal design, response surface design, robust parameter design, respectively. And illustrates the procedure to conduct integrated application of QFD and DOE in detail.Current research take more emphasis on theory than applications, in face of the phenomenon, this thesis finally take the notebook development as an example, integrate QFD with orthogonal design, by use orthogonal design method, obtained the quantitative relationship between customer needs and engineering characteristics in the house of quality in the product planning period. With this example, shows that the integration of QFD and DOE can obtain more accurate results through less data, and also illustrates the specific steps and application effect by integration QFD with DOE.
