Research On Characteristics Of Gutian Linshui Palace's Architecture And Environment Space

Gutian Linshui Palce is not only the origin of Chen Jinggu Culture that has been well known by the world, but also an ancestral temple for Linshui Lady believers. Though the history of Linshui Palace has been for more than one thousand years, the number of prayers is still huge now. As a group of architecture that is intended to imitate the structure of palace, Linshui Palace is precise in its whole layout, grand in construal structure and amazing in the building of ridge hang beam. It has been the representation of Taoist temples at late Qing Dynasty. With high art value, aesthetic value and historical value, it not only embodies the achievement of religious architecture but also becomes a unique Taoist temple in southern China. This paper, based on the study of Gutian Linshui palace, is attempted to explore the architectural complex thoughts, layout relations, tectonic characteristics and adornment color that is derived from Chen Jinggu Culture. Special attentions are also given as follows:How the whole society at that time tried its best to build this typical building; how the building reflected the highest-level technology in terms of whole macroscopic planning and microscopic detail work; how the relations among human, history, architecture and the space was understood from the construction field. According to my fieldwork as well as literature study, author discovers that the past studies put attentions lonely on the depiction of architectural complex of Linshui palace, while neglected the studies of characteristics of environmental space that in connected with the architecture. Aiming at the existing problems, the author, from the angle of art, suggests a reasonable landscape planning about the green environment around Linshui palace. In this way, the article, combining field research with the theory, will explain the environmental space that is harmonious with architecture.
