This study was conducted to investigate the effects of different dosage of compound traditional Chinese medicine "Zhukangsan" and transfer factor injection on growth performance, cell-mediated immunity function and antioxidant ability in piglets and intended to discuss that whether the traditionnal Chinese medicine "Zhukangsan" can accelerate growth rate and enhance body-resistibility in piglets or not.A total of 35 D*L*Y crossbred weaned piglets at the age of 20+2 were randomly assigned to five groups and each group were 7 piglets and the study lasted 30 days. The piglets of I (control group). IU(low dosage). IV(middle dosage). V(high dosage) group were injected classical swine fever vaccine, living (rabbit origin) 2 doses of everyone on 21 days and raised by basis daily ration with addition of "Zhukangsan", the amount of which were 0%,0.5%,1.0% and 2.0% on 27-31 days, the II (TF group) group were injected intramuscularly 0.02ml/Kg TF mixed with classical swine fever vaccine. The result showed that:1. During the experiment, the tranditonal Chinese medicine precaution groups(low dosage. middle dosage, high dosage) and TF could emprove the Daily feed intake, the Daily weight gain and the ratio of feed to gain.Medium dosage group had an optimal effect on improving the growth performance of piglets. Compered with control group and TF group the daily feed intake was increased by 25.01%(P<0.05).19.51%(P<0.05); the daily weight gain was increased by 72.50%(P<0.05).50.37%(P<0.05);the ratio of feed to gain was decreased by 25.99%(P<O.05).4.40%(P<0.05) when the piglets feed 1.0%"Zhukangsan" diet.,during 35 to 64days.2."Zhukangsan" cound increase CD3+%. CD3+CD8+%. CD3+CD4+%and rate of CD4+/CD8+of piglets. The miedium dosage was the best one and TF group was the second. So the "Zhukangsan" can increase cell-mediated immunity of piglets.3. "Zhukangsan" could significantly increase lymphocyte transformation. The Medium dosage group had the best result, the low-dose groupwere better, the high-dose group was the last.4. "Zhukangsan" increased the activity of SOD and GSH-Px and deseased the level of MDA in blood of piglets and the result of middle group was the best. This showed that "Zhukangsan" could improve the antioxidant ability of piglets.5. Zinkangsan could increased the percentage of erythrocyte C3bR rosette and decreased the percentage of ICR Rosette, and middle group had the best result. In conclusion, the supplement 1.0% of traditional Chinese medicine feed additives could obviously improve obviously the piglets'performance, cell-mediated immunity and antioxidant ability(such as the ratio of feed, CD3+%,SOD,GSH-Px,MDA,E-C3bRR) were better than TF group when we supplement of traditional Chinese medicine feed of piglets. So the optimal supplemental dose of "Zinkangsan" was 1.0%.
