This research puts a comprehensive investigation of the limestone mine mountains resulting from mining stones. The investigation has found out the number. type and distribution of limestone slopes and worked-out sections. Aimed at the main type of limestone slopes,the search proposed the repair principles and methods of ecology and provides referential experience for geology stability and ecology restoration of similar limestone slopes. The main results is as follows:(1)There are 91 limestone slopes in the centre of Xuzhou. the area is totally 1,926,280 square meters. In core of the forest protection,there are 49 slopes and worked-out sections.The verticle section is 963.380 square meters and in the buffer area,there are 42 slopes and worked-out sections,whose area is 96,290 square meters.(2)Four kinds of ecological restoration and combination modes-Overlay common soil and plant trees technique(TypeⅠ),Dig rock and plant vine technique(TypeⅡ),Common external-soil spray sowing technique(TypeⅢ) and Suspend metal net and external-soil spray sowing technique(TypeⅣ),which can meet the restoration demand of different types of limestone slopes and worked-out sections.(3)In the 4 kinds of slopes, there are 20 types of plant species,which belonging to 20 genera and 11 families. The TypeⅠ-11 plant species,which belonging to 11 genera and 10 families. The TypeⅡ-4 plant species,which belonging to 4 genera and 3 families. The TypeⅢ-9 plant species,which belonged to 9 genera and 4 families. The TypeⅣ-11 plant species,which belonging to 11 genera and 5 families.One year or perennial wild herbs are of more percentage. Robinia pseudoacacia L,Platycladus orientalis and Amorpha fruticosa in shrub layer growed well and much suitable to the limestone slope's environment. As for the suitable species for restoration in limestone mountains, Broussonetia apyrifera appears and it has more growth potential. hange(4) In different slope communities, the evenness and species diversity vary a lot in shrub and herb layer and the change tend of the index of abundance is similer The order of evenness and species diversity in shrub layer from low to high is:Common external-soil spray sowing technique,Suspend metal net and external-soil spray sowing technique,Overlay common soil and plant trees technique. The order of evenness and species diversity in herb layer from low to high is:Suspend metal net and external-soil spray sowing technique.Overlay common soil and plant trees technique.Common external-soil spray sowing technique.(5)In the same slope community,the species diversity in shrub layer is bigger than herb layer. Compared with the different restoration time, the diversity index and evenness index in shrub and herb layer from low to high is:the third year,the second year and the first year.It shows that as the time goes by,the trees and shrub restrained the normal growth of the plants, which results in the decrease of spicies,even the disappearance.(6)It built up the evaluation model of the limestone slopes' restoration with the analytic hierarchy process.Via the operation and analiysis, the order of importance in all landscape evaluation factors from low to high is:vegetation coverage, Ecology stability, Vision diversity and landscape's beauty value,slope stability, Compatibility with entironment, Social approbation degree.The result of compositive evaluation shows that the typeⅠis superior than typeⅡ.
