| From the late period of Qianlong to the period of Daoguang, scholars of Changzhou devoted themselves to develop their specific study of Confucian Canons. During this time, the Ci-Poetic School of Changzhou also got started, and most of its early members were scholars who specialized in Canons. On the basis of current research, this paper is conducted to take a further step on the connections of Ci Poetry and Canon Studies, and make a reliable explanation on the origin of Ci-Poetic School of Changzhou. By analyzing the theory of "Ci Xuan" ("Collection of Ci Poetry") and the attached poems by its members, this paper discussed on its aesthetic appreciation and independent characters, and how the logic of Zhang Huiyan's theory leads to Zhou Ji's adjustment. |
