The Ying family from Ru Nan Nan Dun is an enormous family in the local area. It prospers from the East Han dynasty to the East Jin dynasty and plays an independent role in imparting Chinese traditional culture, especially the Confucianism. Ying Shao is an important person in his family. He has been recommended as Xiao Lian, Lang Guan of Luo Yang, subordinate of the TaiWei DengCheng, subordinates of the Bike ride general HeMiao, priminister of Xiao, Ying Lin, the mayor of Tai Shan and the adviser of army. In academic area, he becomes one of the most profound scholars because of his fruitful achievements, the idea of applying knowledge and objective attitude. Fan Ye argues:"The imperial system is almost foundered by Ying Shao." This paper mainly probes into the life of Ying Shao, friends and social critics. The article is divided into five parts, including the text which has three parts, introduction and conclusion.The first part introduces the Ying family members of Ru Nan Nan Dun and the basic situation of Ying Shao aiming at providing a more comprehensive understanding of him. The introduction of other family members includes Ying Shun, Ying Feng, Ying Shao, Ying Shang, Ying Qu, Ying Zhan. The author thinks that Ying Shao roughly is born in 151A.D. to 156A.D. and dies before 205A.D.. When discussing the life of him, we arrange his life with time. When discussing his social activities, we emphatically introduce his relationship with Qiao Xuan, Xuan Feng, andZheng Xuan analyze the influence to Ying Shao.The second part introduces Ying Shao's main masterpieces with the profiles, contents, features and value and summarize those characteristics. We roughly divide his works to three parts including works of social habits as the Feng Su Tong Yi, annotation as the Han Shu Ji Jie and imperil system as the Han Guan Yi. We summarize that his works reflect sufficient examples, objection, emphasizing civil life and application etc. The third part analyze Ying Shao's critical thought from three aspects which are Ethos of the society, Ethos of the Literary intelligentsia, Ethos of the administrative. He criticizes infallible social behaviors like rumor, sacrificial behavior and superstition etc and desires such criticism can correct those bad manners by Confucianism. He criticizes disobeying etiquette of funeral and disorder of age by etiquette. He also criticizes the malpractices of officialdom and impassability of orders in the undertaking of decrees.
