Study purpose: To explore the development of secondary school students the characteristics of resilience, the relationships among resilience of secondary school students, self-esteem and social support and group counseling with college students a way to improve the level of resilience.Study Process: 514 students using Resilience Scale for Chinese Adolescents, Self-esteem Scale (SES), Social Support Questionnaire.Also selected from which 16 subjects, experimental intervention study,, 8 students in the experimental group, eight students in the control group, experimental group participated in two months, a total of 8 group counseling, During this period the control group did not receive any experimental treatment, using a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate the experimental results.Study result:1.Secondary school students of different genders in the target focus, interpersonal coordination, utilization of support, self-esteem were significant differences ; different grades of secondary school students in the target focus, positive awareness, family support and self-esteem were significant differences; one child and non-child in subjective support was significant differences; in different types of secondary schools in the target focus, emotional control, interpersonal assistance and objective support were significant differences.2.Resilience of students with self-esteem and social support were significantly correlated.3.Self-esteem, social support,utilization of support can predict positive resilience ,which contributed the most self-esteem.4.After the group activities intervention, the experimental group in objectives focus on resilience, emotional control, positive cognitive, and interpersonal assistance, family support five dimensions were significantly been improved, higher than the pre-intervention, and also higher than the control group. So, group activities intervention is effective measures, group counseling intervention activities to improve the resilience level of secondary school students is an effective method.
