Geng Flow Back Its Poetry Research

Geng Wei is one of the well-known poetry school of middle Tang which is called the "Ten gifted youth of Dali period". Although the achievements of poetry of Geng Wei is not high, as the transition of the poetic rhyme of grand Tang and middle Tang, his poems reflected of typical characteristics of the Dali poetry, and showed a unique individual value for studying the evolution of poetry of Tang and have important reference value.Historical records of Geng Wei's life are rare. Combining the textual research of Fu XuanCong and relevant historical records, I research the origin, poems, traveling and whereabouts, and strive to restore the rough outline Geng Wei's life, especially put forward my own views about Geng Wei's being the official of the Dali Sizhi. The second part focuses on analyzing his political thought and buddhist thought based on studying of Poetry and history. The third, forth and fifth parts study Geng's poetry characteristics and artistic features mainly based on text analysis,combined with his family background, fate, time change and literature of modern features. The subjects in his poems are similar to those of other Poets in Dali period, such as a sense of injury at the world and sorrow of parting. Preciousness lies in his send-off poems are less oppositely, and with deep feelings. He selected the sunset, gloomy autumn wind and tiny and trivial autumn worm, steam trap springs and other natural images and combined them together ably. These internal externalization of natural imagery and has characteristics of the life course miniature poetry image, constitute humanities artistic conception of important factor of his poetry. Sincere lyric style and straightaway language style not only is the result of learning du fu, but also influenced by palace poetic style and Jiangnan style of the same period. This style is different from Cui Tong, Si Kongshu and other poets in Dali period and influenced poetic style in Tang and Song to a certain extent.
