On Dealing With The Cultural Expressions In Translating Between Chinese And Uighur

There are many cultural expressions in both Chinese and Uighur languages, which is caused by different social cultures and customs, and it is quite difficult to translate these cultural expressions. Translating is not to simply put one language into another, which also implies deep cultural connotation. Translators not only translate the words, but also relay the different cultures in the translation process, presenting another culture that readers are not familiar with. This thesis intends to discuss the translation criteria, to propose the principles about how to translate the cultural expressions, and to investigate the classifications and the translation methods of the cultural expressions.
