The Research Of Aocial And Cultural Connotation Of Ki-duk Kim's Movies

This paper starts with the interpretation of aesthetics characteristicsof Ki-duk Kim's movies,including analysis of the background, symbol usingand theme orientation of his movies.Then I make a further research aboutthe implications of the movie text , trying to reveal the movie'sreflection to the the social reality of South Korea.I understand Ki-dukKim in the group of "middle class grassroots"which he belongs to,tryingto find out the close relation between the values which have been shownin his movies such as pioneer socialist ,individualism,anti-traditionalist and its subordinate era.Through interpretation ofthis relation,I intend to show some new findings:how social realities andcultural connotations of South Korea are reflected in Ki-duk Kim'smovies.At last,In order to make some beneficial discussion on China'ssocial cultural reality,I discuss the universal significance of Ki-dukKim's discussions on problems between desire and rules under the text ofsocial realities of South Korea.
