The clutch verb is a kind of very featured language unit. It intervenes between morphology and syntax and may be left with, with dual characteristics of words and phrases. So it is always the hotspot for research. At the same time, from the perspective of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, Clutch-verb teaching and learning are the key and difficult points.This paper takes the clutch verb of HSK Syllabus (include Chinese Language Proficiency Vocabulary and Chinese Characters Level Syllabus and Chinese Language Proficiency Standards and Grammar Level Syllabus) as the research object, describing its syntax, semantics and pragmatics features from these three aspects. At the same time, this paper also analyses some biased errors that are easy to appear and its reasons according to the specific problems in the clutch verb teaching, and put forward some correlative teaching strategies.ChapterⅠbasically introduces the clutch verb and the survey, meaning of clutch-verb teaching in the teaching Chinese as a second language, etc.ChapterⅡmakes an investigation on the standards to estimate clutch verbs and the scope of clutch verbs in this paper.ChapterⅢinvestigates the clutch-verb's syntactic features and analyses clutch-verbs'extending conditions, syntactic functions and the objects which follow it, and deeply excavates the in-depth restriction factors whether a clutch verb can extend, and be followed by objects.ChapterⅣdose a research on the clutch-verb's semantic features from semantic, mainly study semantic relations between these two compositions of the clutch verb.ChapterⅤanalyses the clutch-verb's pragmatic features from pragmatic, chiefly introduces the special pragmatic functions of clutch verbs in separation, including differences in style distribution, enhancement of the expressive functions, highlights of the event, etc.ChapterⅥgives some clutch-verb teaching strategies, analyses the kinds of biased errors and its reasons in Chinese teaching as a second language.The last part summarizes the whole text.
