Chinese clutch words is especially difficult for foreign students to learn Chinese. Chinese clutch words is a relative weak link in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. In order to make students better grasp of the Chinese clutch words and in the meanwhile improve the efficiency of the clutch word in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, this article attempts to examine some recurrent problems from foreign students in learning Chinese clutch words, and it summarizes the types of bias from the perspective of the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language lessons and explores these reasons for the errors, and then some relevant teaching suggestions are made.The full-text consists of five chapters as follows:Chapter I:Introduction. Make an introduction to the motivation of the topics, the status quo of the research and the scope of this study, significance, methods and theories.Chapter II:Research Summary. Make a simple collation of previous researches on the clutch words, including clutch ontology research and the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language these two aspects.Chapter III:Investigation and Analysis. This chapter expands the introduction and analysis on the survey of foreign students when they use the verb-object clutch words. It makes an introduction to the purpose of the investigation, methods of the investigation, investigation contents, investigation objects and corpus sources etc. It puts forward the standards of the biases in the article, and it finally analyzes the survey results, then the results are analyzed.Chapter IV: The types of biases and the causes of the bias. It classifies the biases which are made by the foreign students according to the results of questionnaire surveys and collected corpus. Six common types are concluded. On this basis, the reasons are pointed out why the biases go against the proper rules of Chinese language. Six kinds of reasons are generally summed up:The negative transfer of mother tongue, the over-generalization of the knowledge of the target language, inappropriate learning strategies, from the impacts of textbooks and classroom teaching.Chapter V: Teaching strategies. On the basic of previous problems and analysis of the article, we proposed a few teaching strategies in two ways:strengthening theoretical study and improving teaching practice. I believe that through these efforts, the biases of the verb-object clutch words can be reduced or even avoided by the foreign students.
