The Analysis On Harmony Of Faure's Vocal Music Divertimentos In The Late

Gabriel Urbain Fauré(1845-1924)is one of the most outstanding composer in French.He is honored as"France's Shuman".His music across the two centuries.He made great contributions especially in art songs.In the late period of Faure's music career, he created four vocal music divertimentos,《La chanson d'Eve》,《Le jardin clos》,《Mirages》and《L'horizon chimérique》. This study will analyze these four vocal music divertimentos. The preface will introduce the origin of French art songs. Then the analysis will describe from different aspects, the life of Faure, his music style in different periods, chord, harmonic progression, modulate, properties of modes and form. It will bring a clear and complete understanding of these four vocal music divertimentos.
