College students are the most excellent among their peers. To improve their psychological health is critical to the development and progress of the society. Given the significance of interpersonal relationship in psychological health, this thesis took college students'interpersonal relationship and its improvement as the starting point. Literature review showed that many researchers had explored the factors that affected the interpersonal relationship of college students and the methods to resolve interpersonal harassment. The subjects of the previous studies were mainly from comprehensive universities or normal institutes, who had social and psychological obstacles. However, few studies were carried out to probe into the interpersonal relationship of medical college students. A unanimous conclusion have been drawn that college students suffered interpersonal harassment to a certain extent; the communication difficulties of most college students were the problems of adjustment and development, rather than obstacles to counseling. Therefore, this study first analyzed the interpersonal relationship of medical college students and then intervened on the students suffering interpersonal harassment by using the group counseling method, aiming to make a beneficial attempt to the resolution of interpersonal harassment of college students. This study adopted Symptoms Check List and Interpersonal Relationship Comprehensive Diagnosis Scale of Zheng Richang to choose 60 students entering Shandong Medical College in 2010, who had interpersonal relationship problems without psychological barriers. The subjects were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group members received group counseling intervention, while the later group received the instruction intervention. The two lists were also exploited in the post-test. The data was analyzed by the software SPSS 11.0. Relevant sample t-test and covariance analysis were used and the feelings of the subjects in the experimental group were taken into consideration. The results of the study indicated as follows: 1. Group counseling had exerted a significantly positive influence on the psychological state and interpersonal relationship of the subjects in the experimental group, though the effects and extents varied in different dimensions.2. Group counseling and instruction both could promote the psychological health of college students, but group counseling was more effective.3. The instruction method and group counseling both achieved an effect of reducing the degree of interpersonal harassment, interpersonal sensitivity and solving conversation problems, but group counseling proved to be more effective than the instruction method.4. Group counseling was slightly helpful to reduce interpersonal problems and heterosexual communication barriers, but there was no significant improvement, namely, there were no significant differences statistically.5. The group counseling method of the study was feasible and effective. To conclude, group counseling was effective in resolving the interpersonal harassment of medical college students.
