Beauty can bring happiness to human beings. Aesthetics is of important practical value to study, work and daily life, and aesthetics is closely related to thought, helping people concentrate on the thinking. Aesthetics has been applied to teaching, and it embodies an important guiding significance on cultivating students'aesthetic capability, innovative ability, and improving students'learning interest.In the1980s, reception aesthetics spread to China, according to the viewpoint of reception aesthetics, in the process of translation, the translator should also take another"information recipient"into consideration, namely, the reader. The soul of translation is reproducing the original beauty, and translator is aesthetic subject, the cultural awareness, and aesthetic consciousness and aesthetic experience of translators are directly related to the translation that can convey the original beauty of art.Aesthetics research products are widely used in translation studies, aesthetician Zhu Guangqian translated a series of Western aesthetic masterpieces, Zhu Guangqian's aesthetic practice and aesthetics translation process enhanced the interaction between aesthetic translation and the study of aesthetics, he has made a unique contribution to modern aesthetics. In recent years, Liu Miqing, Xi Yongji, Mao Ronggui and other scholars'systematic researches have put aesthetic translation to a new level. Based on these research products, scholars analyzed many famous translations in the perspective of aesthetics and researched the possibility of different translations from an aesthetic perspective; some scholars have provided a new interpretation to advertising, children's literature, etc. Some scholars studied the aesthetic subject and the aesthetic object. However, studies are rare related to aesthetics and English learning, improving students'cultural awareness, aesthetic abilities and aesthetic consciousness. Liu Miqing proposed that cultural literacy, aesthetic consciousness, aesthetic experience are the main aesthetic conditions of aesthetic subject. Mao Ronggui discussed the beauty of Chinese language and English language, revealing the importance of the aesthetics in improving translation ability.In the process of training the translators, the aesthetic consciousness of students are involved in the aesthetic activity of translation, the aesthetic perception of original text, aesthetic understanding and aesthetic judgments. And the comprehension of the original text depends on the level of students'aesthetic awareness. The higher of students'aesthetic awareness, the better they can understand the original aesthetic and the quality of translation made by them will be increased.In 2006, the Ministry of Education approved three universities to found translation major at undergraduate level, and more universities have been approved since then. The problem of the curriculum in translation major gradually becomes an increasingly prominent issue.By analyzing the curriculum in main universities concerned, we can find the drawbacks of the current curriculums in cultivating students'aesthetic consciousness and aesthetic ability. Besides improving the language skills, humanities courses and aesthetics courses should be added to the curriculum. In the perspective of aesthetics, students of translation major are the subject of translation and the source text is aesthetics object. The aesthetic ability of translators is characterized by the autonomy, initiative, objective and creativity. Specially, it includes the translator's cultural literary, aesthetic consciousness, aesthetic experience, etc.As for the cultivating students'cultural literary, the curriculum should make sure students are equipped with proper knowledge of culture; for translation studies, the compatibility of cultures is extremely significant, it lays a solid foundation for the practice of translation from the perspective of aesthetics.As for aesthetic consciousness and aesthetic experience, aesthetic courses can be added to the curriculum of the translation major; besides that, books on aesthetics should also be recommended to students. In this way, the level of students'aesthetic consciousness can be improved, and their translation ability will also be improved accordingly.
