As the cultural soft power in international competition intensified, cultural creativity industries are the proportion of rapid ascension as an important part of cultural soft power in the market economy. Cultural creativity industries include culture and art, press and publications and design services, etc. So the visual communication design major in colleges and universities came into being. Since March 2014 State council on promoting related papers, the visual communication design major ushered in the new development opportunity and make its importance in the field of education increases significantly.Course management is an important guarantee of talents training in colleges and universities. It ensures that professional training objectives and the curriculum goal realization by playing its own functions. Curriculum management activities is reasonable or not, is directly related to whether courses can meet the needs of personnel training, whether teaching can be effectively, whether evaluation can be fully effective play its role. This paper is based on the perspectives of visual communication design major curriculum management as the research object, using literature method, case method and investigation method. Basing on analyzing the curriculum management present situation and existing problems of visual communication design major in school A in Dalian, I put forward some specific countermeasures to improve the management of visual communication design major in Private Colleges. So that the purpose and quality of visual communication design major professional talent training can find a better implementation.The main body of this text is divided into five parts. The first part explains the concept and content of higher education curriculum management.First introduced the proposed of university curriculum management, concept and its relationship with teaching management, secondly elaborated the connotation of curriculum making, curriculum implementation and course evaluation, etc. The second part introduces the visual communication design major and its curriculum system. Combing its development and origin take school A for example. In the third part, I analysis the problems of visual communication design major curriculum management in school A by combining with the investigation and study. These issues are mainly as follows:the main body of curriculum making is relatively single, lacking of the practice ability, curriculum implementation approaches is relatively single, curriculum evaluation is insufficient and failed to achieve a goal, etc. There are the analysis of causes based on the previous problems in the fourth part, Mainly include lack of real double-certificate teachers and the quality of teachers still remains to be improved, guarantee funds and hardware of course implementation does not reach the designated position, etc. In part five, I put forward the basic solutions focusing on those problems and causes of visual communication design major curriculum management in Private Colleges. Such as: diversification of curriculum making, adapt to the new needs of the development of cultural creativity industries, perfecting the course system of visual communication design major, using various ways of curriculum implementation and course evaluation, improve the quality of teaching, improving teachers' quality and management level of administrative personnel and increase the intensity of investment and the update of hardware.
