The changing thoughts in the Huang Wan's whole life can be viewed as"an epitome of the evolution process of Ming academic thought. Therefore, the research in Huang Wan's academic thoughts is of great significance for understanding the flow of entire academic thought in Ming dynasty, especially drawbacks of Yang Ming School. However, the current research in Huang Wan's philosophy thoughts is very deficient. In view of this, this study focuses on the core of Huang Wan's philosophy thoughts----- the Theory of"Gen zhi"and its academic influence to Ming dynasty, which can play a valuable role in the academic system and in-depth study of Huang Wan's academic thoughts. This paper argues that "Gen zhi" theory is the core of Huang Wan's academic thoughts, which is on the basis of predecessors', especially the interpretation of hexagrams"Gen"in Zhouyi from Song Con-fucian, and making the system discussion of the essence of "zhi". Its concrete meaning includes: (1) why to stop (2)what is stop (3) the destination of stop (4) how to stop, which refer to the reason, the way, the aim and so on.This paper argues that Huang Wan's"Gen zhi"theory has two characteristics. Firstly, the main doctrine of"Gen zhi"is"the Theory of Zhi", and he believed that the hexagrams"Gen"is the spirit of heart. This heart body expressing"between heart"is not pure individual of heart, but to make the universe included. In this way, the heart body of "Gen zhi" will be viewed as a general beyond, "Gen zhi" will be ascented to the height of noumenon, and the position of "Gen" hexagrams will be at an all-time high, which is a pioneer in philosophical history. Secondly, Huang Wan's"Gen zhi"expound not only the ontology knowledge but also about the"Function". However, he pays more attention on the"Function". He emphasizes working hard on practice, which makes his "Gen zhi" theory with strong classic color. Huang Wan's"Gen zhi"celebrated aim is "Ming academic". In order to deal with the disadvantages of academia Chan's invain emptiness, and determine orthodox Confucianism, Huang Wan argued the Confucian Pedigree of"Gen zhi". This paper makes the explanation on the two aspects. Firstly, on the specific inheritance contents of Confucian Pedigree, it shows that he made"Gen zhi"as the ruling and emphasizes that it originated from"Yao Shun legends", which is the unique characteristic of Huang Wan's Confucian Pedigree. Secondly, on the way of Confucian Pedigree,it shows that Huang Wan agrees that the classic Han"Ultruism"of Confucian Pedigree and denies the ruling position of neo-confucianism. In this way, he emphasizes"Gen zhi"theory is the authentic Confucianism. Comparing with Han Yu's Confucian Pedigree and the Confucian Pedigree of the Song and Ming Dynasties, this paper discusses Huang Wan's new Confucian Pedigree which reveals that it is established in the process of criticism of the Confucian Pedigree of Cheng, Zhu, Lu and Wang. This paper which discussed "Gen zhi" theory has a profound influence for Ming and Qing academic on the two aspects :⑴With"Gen zhi"theory, Huang Wan making the spread critism of Wan xue, which plays a indelible role on correcting the drawbacks of Yang Ming School. Disproving the drawbacks not only promoted the Wang xue internal self remedy, but also triggered the astounding trend of"monarch king"(disproving Wang xue) on Ming and Qing dynasties which becoming a main developing line on Ming and Qing philosophy.⑵Disproving Wang xue ,even the entire Song Ming neo-confucianism, it is because he realized the harmfulness of the style of Moonshine life, Empty words argumentation and academic research with unspecific in Ming dynasty. He valued practice and advocated traditional Confucianism administration. The classic style rapidly acrossed the academia, which promoted the style of study gradually transforming from empty to reality from the mid-Ming to the end of Qing.
