The Evolution And Charateristicsof Art Exhibitions During The Period Of The Republic Of China

Art exhibition during the period of the republic of china is the result of culture exchanges between East and West. It has changed the way of traditional Chinese art collection and identification. It is a major leap in the history of Chinese art. The public displaying not only promotes the formation of patterns, but also further influences the development trent of the painting through the presentation of artistic style of that time, meanwhile it also plays a large role in the artist's social status and the establishment of writing style. Art exhibition is the product of the a west wind, which completely changed the habits of the appreciation of the Chinese art and built for the public's aesthetic, aslo becoming the window in Western understanding of Chinese culture and art.In this paper, art exhibition of the Republic of China(1912-1949) is the research object. Through the methods of historical analysis, further analyzes the art exhibition history from the vertical on the base of the sort of horizontal flow. Introduction to the first part of this paper will expain the concept of this interpretation of the relevant topics in order to identify the object of study. The first part of the body in different periods is divided into four parts, the initial development stage(1910-1918), growth stages(1919-1927), exhibition type of diversification phase(1928-1936), tortuous develoment phase(1937-1949). The second part will analyse multiple perspectives from the exhibition mode, development of art, culture communication,etc, to show the unique features of art exhibition during this period the Republic.
