Research On The Application Of Kite Symbol In Weifang City Image Visual Identification

In the background of globalization, the construction of China's city becomes more and more similar on the visual image.Many of the city's personalities and characteristics are gradually fading and even disappearing, which lead to the visual identification of city image fuzzy, undermined the public's memory and recognition to the city and affect the city's comprehensive competitive power. All in all, this is because city ignore its unique cultures and characteristics, blindly following the trends to make construction, and not fully revealed city's characteristics.Based on the background, this thesis strives to explore how to fully exploit the regional culture of city and how to make the unique visual image of city with cultural symbols.The thesis takes the capital of the world kite Weifang for example to research of the application of kite symbol in the city image visual identification of Weifang, which based on the relationship between the regional culture and the city image, with the guide of semiotics theory and city image visual identification theory.This thesis mainly discussed from four aspects. Firstly, briefly introduced the city condition and the image orientation strategy and basis of Weifang; Secondly, the city image visual recognition theory,semiotics theory and the graphic symbol of Weifang kite are discussed in this thesis; Thirdly, according to the construction of city image of Weifang at present, the author puts forward the insufficients, suggestions, analizes the note points of it and based on the summary of before, the author puts forward the reforming idea about the Culture Road of Weifang by kite symbols; Finally, it is the summarization and sublimation of the paper. It has realistic significance to make more perfect unique city image of Weifang, and also has certain reference and value to the other city's image construction.
