Research On IP Image Design And Visual Application Of Weifang International Kite Festival

Excellent IP image design has highly content-oriented features and emotional attributes,which can symbolize brand culture and also enhance emotional value.In recent years,the IP image design market has gradually prospered,with numerous products emerging and the scope of coverage gradually expanding,but problems such as single design style,insufficient innovation awareness,insufficient cultural connotation and homogenization of product applications have also become increasingly prominent.Based on the contemporary design demand and future development trend,IP image design needs to be further optimized and upgraded,focusing on combining with regional cultural resources,aiming at shaping its own characteristic IP and striving to meet consumers’spiritual needs and emotional experience.As a world-class intangible cultural heritage,Weifang kites have distinctive features in visual shape,color matching and story background,which provide rich materials for the IP image design of Weifang International Kite Flying Association.This paper tries to explore the practical and effective systematic visual design methods and principles from the perspective of the cultural genes of the core of IP image,and through field research and data analysis,it composes and summarizes the relevant theories of IP image design,extracts six major IP image design trends and conducts relevant case studies.Taking the Weifang International Kite Flying Association as the design practice object,the role of IP image was established as the genie attribute,four Weifang characteristic kite flying species were selected as sub-themed IP images,and a whole set of IP image design and visual application scheme was developed and designed,with specification and visual expression in extended graphics,expression application,disguise design,publicity and promotion and derivatives.
