Excessive presleep cognitive activity plays a key role in the formation and development of sleep disorders. People often use suppression, worry and distraction to deal with experience intrusive thought. Studies show that some thought control strategies is effective, while others play a reverse effect. The failure of thought control is related to mental workload, especial under the high load psychological condition. Anger being one of the most common negative emotion has impact on individual's sleep quality. Researchs on the relation between anger and presleep thought control, the relation among anger, presleep thought control and sleep quality are rare. There is lack of research on anger, presleep thought control and sleep quality about college students.In this research on college students for exploring the influence of anger and presleep thought control on sleep quality by State-Trait Anger Scale, self-edited questionnaire about presleep thought control and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. The results are as following:(l) good reliability and validity of self-edited presleep thought control questionnaire, containing 8 factors such as intrusive thinking experience, sense of presleep thought control, suppression, worry, social avoidance, cognitive distraction, behavioral distraction, reappraisal;(2) males' anger temperament and anger-out are much higher than females';(3) intrusive thought experience, sense of thought control and thought control strategies influences each other;(4) the sleep quality of college students is less optimistic;(5) there is significant correlation in anger, presleep thought control and sleep quality each other;(6) anger not only directly influence the sleep quality, but also can have an indirect impact on it through presleep intrusive thought experience, sense of presleep thought control strategies. |
