Improving translatingskill is an important part of teaching a foreign language and a top priority instudying foreign language as well. First of all, in China, the research onanalyzing mistakes in translation has been fulfilled, however, in Vietnam,this is a new one for students.This dissertationmainly focuses on the same and different points between Chinese and Vietnameseadverbs, in connection with analyzing Vietnamese students'mistakes intranslation. Basing on the data we collected, we have found that Vietnamese students have made a lot of mistakes in using adverbs. Main mistakes include:missing, wrong usage, wrong order, and others. Then we look for reasons of thesemistakes. Finally, basing on the analysis, we give a solution forimproving the Chinese translation and the Chinese-Vietnamese teaching.
