Vocabulary borrowing is a common phenomenon in all languages of the world,which is unavoidable in Vietnamese.As is known to all,Vietnam is deeply influenced by Chinese culture.Therefore,many ancient Chinese words have been introduced into the Vietnamese language and become an indispensable and important part in Vietnamese.According to some statistics,Sino-Vietnamese words are account for more than 60% of Vietnamese vocabularies.Most Vietnamese words are multi-syllable words: two or more syllables,which is a good advantage for Vietnamese students to learn Chinese.If we know how to use this advantage,we can learn Chinese and develop vocabulary quickly and efficiently.It can be seen that when Vietnamese students learn the basic Chinese,if they can correspond to the pronunciation or meaning of Chinese and Sino-Vietnamese then they don't have to spend too much time learning Chinese.However,the Sino-Vietnamese words sometimes have a negative impact on learners because students misappropriate in using Sino-Vietnamese words.The structure of this thesis is divided into five parts:The first chapter is introduction: It mainly introduces the purpose and significance of the research,the research status and development trend of the Sino-Vietnamese in Vietnam and abroad.The second chapter summarizes the research on the related research of SinoVietnamese's words: including the specific definition,history and development of Sino-Vietnamese.The third chapter the syllable Sino-Vietnamese nouns in book 3 of Chinese course edition part 2 : Introduction about the "Chinese Course" in book 3 part 2 and classification of two-syllable nouns Sino-Vietnamese words.The fourth chapter is the understanding and application of Sino-Vietnamese words in Chinese vocabulary learning by Vietnamese learners : This thesis analyzes the positive and negative effects of Sino-Vietnamese in students' vocabulary.Since then,some advanced vocabulary teaching suggestions and some effective learning methods have been provided for advanced students.Chapter 5 is the conclusion part.
