As is known to us, there are numbers of homographs in Chinese and Japanese languages, and these words can be, based on their meanings, classified into isomorphic synonyms, homonyms and isomorphic near synonyms. As Chinese and Japanese homographs have the largest positive and negative transfer function in the process of Japanese people Learning Chinese Language and Chinese people learning Japanese Language, comparative analysis on these homographs will be very important for Chinese language teaching to Japanese learners. The Class A words in "HSK Lexical Syllabus" are the basic words for the initial stage of Chinese language teaching to foreigners, and there are too many learners for this stage, so comparative analysis on the homographs thereinto is also of great value for Chinese vocabulary teaching to Japanese learners. This paper, on the basis of the other researchers'results and with the Chinese and Japanese homographs in Class A words of "HSK Lexical Syllabus" as the object of study, makes statistics and comparative analysis on word meanings, pragmatics and part of speech of the homographs thereinto, and clearly identifies the differences and similarities between the homographs. The similarities could help the Japanese learners improve the efficiency of mastering the Chinese vocabulary, thus yielding twice the results of vocabulary learning. The differences could also help the Japanese learners avoid the interference from their native language, reduce negative transfer effect. From this analysis, the difficult points for the learners and key points in the teaching could be foretasted, and based on this, this paper gives some ideas and proposals about compilation of Chinese language teaching materials suitable for Japanese learners and Chinese vocabulary processing of these materials. The paper contains the following 4 parts:Ⅰ. IntroductionThis part presents the purpose of subject selection and the up-to-date research status。Ⅱ. About Chinese and Japanese HomographsThis part presents explanations about concepts, origins and classifications of Chinese and Japanese homographs based on the other researchers'results. Ⅲ. Comparative Analysis on Chinese and Japanese Homograph in Class A Vocabulary of "HSK Lexical Syllabus"This part makes exhausted quantitative statistics on two-word vocabulary in Class A words of "HSK Lexical Syllabus" corresponding to the homographs in Japanese language, classifies the homographs based on the similarities of word meanings into isomorphic synonyms, homonyms and isomorphic near synonyms, and makes comparative analysis on word meanings, pragmatics and part of speech.Ⅳ. Proposals on Chinese Vocabulary Teaching to Japanese Learners and Processing Methods for Vocabulary of Teaching MaterialsThis part, based on the results of comparative analysis on homographs, puts forward some proposals and suggestions about Chinese Vocabulary Teaching to Japanese Learners and Processing Methods for Vocabulary of Chinese Teaching Materials.Ⅴ. ConclusionThis part makes a conclusion and summary on the whole paper, points out the inadequacy hereinto and indicates the future research area.
