Chinese and Japanese belong to different linguistic families and type. But two languages had the chance to contact in the cultural exchanges between China and Japan. At last Chinese vocabulary which have the same form appeared in Chinese and Japanese.Chinese-Japanese homographs have brought us advantages, besides, they also have brought the adverse effects. These effects cause Japanese students to make various types of mistakes. So comparative analysis on the homographs is also of great value. This paper,on the basis of the other researchers' results and with the Chinese-Japanese homographs in fourth stage of "Chinese Proficiency Test Syllabus",as the object of study, makes comparative analysis on word meaning, grammar structures and pragmatics.Develops teaching strategies according to the results of comparative analysis. This paper consists of six major sections. The basic structure is:The first chapter is the introduction.Emphatically elaborated the purpose and significance of the research;then summarized the results of previous studies;determined research methods;expounded the theoretical basis of this research;finally determined research scope. The second chapter is a summary of the Chinese-Japanese homographs.Elaborated the definition and five kinds of morphological characteristics need attention, including the difference between traditional and simplified fonts, simplified fonts, upright and variant fonts, substitute fonts, morpheme order.Briefly introduced the classification of Chinese-Japanese homographs from word form, source and meaning. Finally concluded reasons for the formation. There are two reasons for this phenomenon. One is that borrowed words from Chinese in ancient Japan, another is that borrowed words from Japanese in modern China. The third chapter aims at variance analysis of Chinese-Japanese homographs.Made comparative analysis of disyllable Chinese-Japanese homographs from fourth stage of&"Chinese Proficiency Test Syllabus" on semanteme, grammar structures and pragmatics. In the semantic aspect, there were difference in basic meaning, transferred meaning, semantic orientation and semantic category; In the grammar structures aspect, there were difference in combining form, word class, morphological change, compound mode and collocation; In the pragmatics aspect, there were difference in macroscopical context, focus and illocutionary act.The fourth chapter is the analysis of errors about Chinese-Japanese homographs.By the questionnaire, investigated the learning situation of Japanese student abroad about Chinese-Japanese homographs in the intermediate stage.According to investigation result, pragmatics of Chinese-Japanese homographs is the most difficult to master.Semantic and grammar structures aspects are better than pragmatics, but the error rate is still not satisfactory. In this chapter, also enumerated the types of errors that appeared in the questionnaire.Explored the reasons of the production of errors. The fifth chapter focuses on the teaching countermeasures.Develops teaching countermeasures about Chinese-Japanese homographs according to the result of variance analysis and error analysis. We need to regulate definition, add further annotations, enhance the structural features, compare pragmatics separately, increase the incidence of Chinese-Japanese homographs in compiling the Chinese books. We also need to put pupils of country into classes, input semantics accurately, judge the combining form,do more phrase exercise, adopt real situation in classroom teaching. The sixth chapter is conclusion.States the conclusion based on this research, and illustrates research limitations.
