With Ray-Ban sunglasses, smoking Davidoff cigars, drinking Hennessy whiskey, wearing a gold labor, sitting back row of Rolls-Royce... This is a classic scene of the millionaire in Hong Kong1980s films. But the image maybe also remind you when people talking about the word "luxury". According to latest released <The world's luxury goods report-Blue Book>, a quarter of the global luxury products consumed in Chinese market, totaled$10.7billion (not including private jets, yachts and luxury cars). But there is never a Chinese brand appears in the luxury brand list, which should wake us up from the blinding following.For several hundreds years, people never stop pursuit of beautiful things, which creating a lot of distinguished brand, they creative the fashion trend, leading retail steam, catch the eyes of the whole world. The creative display for luxury goods can better meet the constantly changing needs of consumers, better respond to the dynamic market, of cause, better show the content of luxury brand as well. But people never focus on the importance of display in the beginning, so lacking of reference is the biggest problem during the writing the theory.The thesis analyzed the background of luxury industry by explaining how the displays take effect on telling story of the brand cooperating with the special market strategy by luxury industry, checking the features of the luxury display designs, especially aspects of innovation in visual communication, newly design concepts, materials used, the way art immerged into display and so on.In the following text, I made conclusions on major features of several luxury brands, by seeking my knowledge and research on luxury display. Then answered the question of why is luxury goods is the one with highest intangible value and how can the displays helped to renowned brand in China by exquisite display.My article also covered two cases of top luxury brands. I analyzed their pros and cons: the rich heritage of Chanel and Louis Vuitton long history and how they grab the heartbeats of consumers by amazing displays in different situation.Finally, I summarize the points of display design methods, rules and develop trend. Being a luxury designer, I'm trying to find the effective design strategy from analyzed and studied on luxury display designs existed and I hope they help the other designers entering the new time of design smoothly, and I'm sharing my experience on display design in the meantime.
