How to treat industrialization development and transition of intangible cultural heritage have become a controversial topic in academic world. As early as Qing Dynasty, the official had started organizing agate mining in Fuxin region. At that time, some local people lived by mining and sailing agate and operated shops of agate, and that was the beginning of industrialization development of agate sculpture. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, some carving masters from regions such as Beijing and Hebei province went to Fuxin teaching carving skills. The establishment of Fuxin Agate and Jade Factory became an important symbol of industrialization development of agate sculpture. After Opening-up and Reform, agate industry employees of Fuxin insisted studying carving techniques, innovating design concepts, updating industry models through multi-interaction with outside world, inheritating suhuo (which is a kind of jade carving creation based on the bronzes and other relative ware styles in Shang and Zhou dynasty) and creating yahuo (which mainly refers to people, flowers and animals caved with agate). In2006, Fuxin agate sculpture was listed as the first group of national intangible cultural heritage representative work list. As for now, it already becomes the Cultural card of Fuxin. This paper based on my field work, explores the transition and agents of industrialization development of Fuxin agate sculpture, using documentation methods. It is to find out the rationality of transition, and then put forward measures to push industrialization development. This paper consists of introduction, text and conclusion. The text is divided into six chapters.Introduction mainly clarifies the origin and defines the scope of the research. It points out that the decline of agate discoloration techniques and the creation of Qiaose and Qiaoxing establish new rules of how to use agate stone material.Chapter two focuses on the main procedures of agate sculpture techniques as well as the transition of skill inheritance in both form and content. It clarifies that the ingenious creation of agate sculpture craft aesthetic feeling was originated in constant self-constructions during interaction with others. The third chapter mainly presents both the traditional knowledge and contemporary model of agate cultural value. Especially the prosperity of literature art forms such as folk stories, Beijing opera, painting and calligraphy, and the rising of contemporary exhibitions and cultural festivals have become important cultural carriers of the promotion of agate culture. This paper believes that agate culture is the core force of industrialization development of agate sculpture.Chapter four indicates internal and external causes of the transition and puts forward relevant strategies aiming at present situation of industrialization development. The internal forces are originated in the development of folk art ontology awareness, which is an inevitable result of resource consciousness under the ground of exhausted resources city transformation; The external causes are derived from times factor that cultural undertakings and cultural industries are evolving in parallel. The final part summarizes the full text.
