Non-work Test Preparers refer to people who have completed undergraduate study and have taken at least one postgraduate entrance examinations or civil service exam,but failed to succeed then devote themselves to prepare for the next same exam.In recent years,lots of industries has been hitten hard from the impact of new crown pneumonia epidemic,the frequency of news reported about "the hit of examinations" has continued to increase,reflecting that more and more graduates have chosen to become a non-work test prepares.While this phenomenon has attracted more and more attention and heated discussions,academic researchers should pay attention to as well,study and discuss this group of candidates.This study adopts horizontal and longitudinal methods,using the Internality,Powerful Others,and Chance Scale(IPC),Motivation Orientation Scale(MOTS),Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS)and Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)investigated 500 non-work test prepares of their depression currency and its influencing factors.Study motivation orientation and social support were used as mediating variables to investigate the relationship between the locus of control and depression.The longitudinal study explored the trajectory and subgroup classification of depression,and studied the impact mechanism and intervention methods of depression among non-work test prepares.The results of the study showed that:(1)the detection rate of depression among non-work test prepares was high(38.14%),as well as much higher than the national norm of college students(p<0.001);(2)Locus of control,learning motivation,social support and Depression was significantly correlated with each other,learning motivation and social support were the chain mediating variables between locus of control and depression.(3)The depression change trajectory of non-work test prepares showed a linear growth trend,internal control and learning motivation promoted the development of depression significantly;(4)The depression trajectory could be divided into three subgroups: high-rising group,middle-slow descent group and lowrapid descent group,more than half of all subjects belonged to the high-rise group(56.02%);(5)women were more likely to belong to the low-rapid descent depression subgroup.Increased social support increases the probability that men belong to the low-fast descent group.
