With the trend of globalization, regional cooperation has become popular in international relation developments. ASEAN, a states group which develops fast after the cold war, has gradually become a regional group centering cooperation in politics and economy. Its influence in east Asia is also booming. After the Asian Economic Crisis, ASEAN carried out the process of east Asia integration. The 10+3 system, which includes ASEAN, China, Japan and South Korea is a good sample for regional integration. But some new changes have also occur. The strategy with which ASEAN countries carried out their regional cooperation has always attracted scholars both home and abroad. This article is about to, with multiple visions, discuss on the elements that affect ASEAN countries strategy on regional cooperation, and how could China promote and take part in the further development on east Asia regional cooperation. Specifically, it is to discuss and analyze several main strategic choices adopted buy ASEAN countries such as Singapore and Indonesia during regional cooperation. Beginning with discussing the value of theory research in reality, this article combined theories with strategic choices adopted by ASEAN countries, analyzing its influence to the peace and stability of CHINA , the ASEAN countries, and east Asia at large. And I hope this could give some reference to the implementing of China's foreign policy to the southeast Asia, and could help in forming China's strategy of regional cooperation.
