The Current Crisis Of Confidence In Local Government In China Causes And Countermeasures

The trust between government and public is the fundamental center of the society. The trust to government works as a reflection of how the investment environment of the country is. It is very important to every aspects of the society development. Since the country is at a turning point of a social revolution, some defect of the regulation and social issue may leads to antitrust towards to the government. Therefore, the study of how to handle the trust crisis toward the government is very valuable both in academic and practical sense. This article use cross-sectional method incorporating politics, sociology and science of administration to analyze how the crisis is formed and the current condition of the crisis at the local level. Finally a practical solution is suggested, which is to change the ideology the government holds dearly to make the government truly serve public, and also to make the government transparent and encourage public to give more feedback. The inner monitoring and great performance evaluation system is also crucial to the success to the reform. Only by reinforce the trust towards the government can prevent the crisis and move the society forward to a better future.
