The Study On The Service-oriented Government During Building A Well-off Society

With the development of socialist market economy, the deepening of reform and opening up, and the awakening of civic consciousness, service-oriented government has become an inevitable choice for Chinese Government reform. Firstly, starting from the basic theory of service-oriented government, I analyze the concept and characteristics and define the connotation of service-oriented government in four areas. They are values, institutional structure, government functions and specific practice. Then I elaborate the theoretical basis and practical basis. Secondly, the process, achievements and problems of the government is discussed, then analyzing reasons for the problems from the perspective of ideas and interests. At the last, the measures are proposed to tackle the problems.
