Community Cultural Role In The Community To Create Peace And Stability

The foundation of communities'development is stability, which can be enhanced by cultural development. President Hu Jingtao stated:"Nowadays, culture becomes an important source of national cohesion and creation and factor of comprehensive national power and competitive power. Abundant cultural activities become people's desire". Communities' culture not only takes role in education, cohesion, entertainment and fitness, cultivates people's life, promote people's cultural appreciation, enhances communication, but also accumulates social capital, to promotes the stability of community. This dissertation theologically demonstrates that cultural development can promote the social capital with the view of communities' social capital, thus the accumulation of social capital can promote the social stability. After analyzing the cultural development and social stability of two communities in C Community, the dissertation brings up the conclusion that cultural development can enhance the social stability. Then, We bring up some problems of the cultural development in C Community, and give some suggestions for future cultural development.The dissertation consists of four parts.Part One:preface. It points out the background and significance of the study and summarizes the relative literatures. First of all, it gives the definitions to community, culture, social culture, social capital and social stability. Secondly, it demonstrates the relative discussion of the influence of cultural development on communities' stability.Part Two:First of all, the dissertation states the logistic relationship between cultural development and social capital:the cultural development helps establish the formal or informal norm which aims at mutual cooperation and benefit, helps establish relationship among neighbors for good participation and expression of various interests, helps breed virtue for trust. So, the better the culture development of a community is, the more the neighbors take part in the communities'management, the more they know each other, the more they communicate with each other, the more they trust each other, the more they cooperate with each other, that helps form informal norm and social consciousness, and trust with the community and the government. Thus, this demonstrates the more social capital the community has.Then, the dissertation demonstrates the logistic relationship between social capital and social stability:the trust factor the social capital contains helps cultivate people' s trust and identification to the government. The participation network factor the social capital contains provides smooth channel for people to communicate with each other. The formal or informal social norm the social capital contains helps form the value identification for people. All in all, the more social capital a community has, the neighbors tend to cultivate good virtue such as honesty, trust, mutual benefit and cooperation so that to form informal norm. Thus, it helps promote peoples'understanding and trust for the government, so that to promote peoples'capability to participate in the communities'management, so that to decrease the trade cost for the resolution of various disputes, to keep the stability of the community.Part Three:the empirical research of the relationship between cultural development and social stability in C Community. We take two communities which has similar features, but has differences in stability, so that to analyze the reason and bring up the conclusion of the relationship between cultural development and stability.Part Four:the foundation of stability:cultural development. According to the former analysis, we bring up the problems of the cultural development in C Community, the suggestion of future development.The conclusion summarizes the viewpoints that social cultural development helps maintain social stability so that to bring up the suggestion of social cultural development.
