Since Reform and Opening, especially after the process of Western Development, the tibetan society has experienced tremendous changes. Nowadays, it is in transition period. Tibetan community change is one of the most important issues, to which anthropology, sociology and geography has always been paying attention. For promoting regional economic and maintain the harmony of the area development, studying the change of the Tibetan community is significant.Takeing Langmucun community in Gannan Tibetan autonomous prefectures as an object of study, using for reference of the community study methods and paradigm abroad and domestic, adopting a combination way of sociological and geological studies, using the field investigation method, the paper makes the research through the method of questionnaire survey, in-depth talk, and investigation. Based on the research on the changes of production and living, cultural, population and family life in the Langmusi community in different historical periods and eras, it analyses the driving factors of the community changes and explores the facing problems in current community development.The first part (1chapter) is the introduction, briefly discussing the academic theme, reviewing previous relative studies, giving a brief description to investigate areas and research spots, also expounding study design, analysis method and theoretical frame in detail.The second part (2, 3, 4 chapter), based on the historical literature materials and interview data, combined with state policies in every period as well, the second chapter profiles the survey on natural environment and economic, discusses the process of the historical evolution and early formation of the community culture in this region. The third chapter analysis the community changes before the Reform and Opening from the aspect of community population, the tribes'composition, the political and economic life, the religious life, and the community education. In time sequence, it divides the process of the community changes into four parts: the Tribe period before 1955, community liberated period from 1956 to 1965, Cultural Revolution period from1966 to1976 and the Reform and opening period from1977 to 1990. Based on the interview data and the investigation and statistical analysis, this chapter analyze and elaborate the community's changes of population, marriage, family, production, consumption, education, community space structures and life style since the 1990s.The third part(5,6 chapter), through studying the policy, economic and multicultural factors, Chapter 5 focuses on the driving mechanism of the community change Since the Reform and Opening, and analyzes the herdsmen's response to the driving factors. Chapter 6 summarizes the main thread, proposes the facing problem in the development changes in Langmu community and makes reflection and outlook on the community sustainable development and cultural heritage in the Interaction role of many different factors such as the national policies, national development issues, environmental stress, and tourism development and so on.
