Discussion Of Community Correction

Community Corrections represent in the worldwide scale the trend and the tendency of execution. In the background of reform and opening-up, to develop Community Corrections as soon as possible, promote the reform of execution, is the trend of the times. Therefore, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Justice jointly issued " The Notice of Community Corrections" in 2003 , thus it raises the curtain on community corrections in some provinces of China. On February 25, 2011, 19th Session of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China approved " Amendments to the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China(Eight)",in this amendment it distinctively proposed to apply Community Corrections to control, probation and parole. Under this background, it becomes indispensable and urgent to make investigation on the theory of Community Corrections. This article is at the aim of investigations of the concept and nature of Community Corrections. After analyzing the insufficiency in our country, I will give some advices to perfect Community Correction.
