Since the reform and opening up to outside world, China is going through rapid development of urbanization. Due to urban construction and expansion of city size, more and more farmers lost their lands by an active or passive means. Thus the formation of vulnerable groups -Land-expropriated farmers which with so many social problems. How to properly resolve the livelihoods of land-lost farmers employment and social security, how to protect their legal rights during loss of lands, how to help them establish and improve the sustainability of livelihoods, how to guide their adaptation to urban life from rural life changes. Only solve these problems, China's urbanization can be a healthy and orderly development.This essay makes an example of land-lost farmers Lotus 3rd communities in Suzhou as the object of study. Focus on the changes of their living status, family economic status before and after they lost their land, and the reasons is the policy factor or the family factors, all the above is the context of this study.Thi research based on the livelihoods framework - DFID model established by the UK International Development Agency (the UK's Department for international Development, DFID), with sustainable livelihoods at home and abroad, the sustainable livelihood s of land-lost farmers as the theoretical support, through case studies and analogy research to study the sustainable livelihoods of landless farmers in 3rd communities Lotus. According to the five capitals of DFID livelihoods model, analysis the family of land-lost farmers'ability of anti-social risk, and test the validity of the relevant policy.
