The development of tourism in China is in the transition period in the background, the government leading tourism development strategy, under the premise of our country is in a different and different forms of tourism marketing activities, many local tourism marketing work has fruitful. But, at present our country tourism marketing activities, on the whole, is still at the primary stage, the government tourism marketing function has not been fully play in tourism marketing, but there are still some problems in practice. At the same time, the corresponding theoretical research, lack of the relevant system lags behind the tourism marketing function of government's basic theory, development present situation, the operation modes etc.The development of tourism in China urgently needs to destination for regional scope to the destination for the government to tourism enterprises as the main body of the tourism marketing activities conducted extensive, thus to the destination of tourism image publicity and promotion, widespread popularity and reputation to improve the destination, healthy and rapid development of tourism add momentum.In this situation, this article take lienyungang, for example, in the literature research and investigation, interview, and on the basis of summary of the tourism marketing concept system, development and tourism marketing principle of work in the government, the comprehensive use of public management theory, the tourism marketing theory and the marketing theory demonstrates the function of government and tourism marketing strategy, and puts forward the government tourism marketing countermeasures role.
