The sports culture during anti-Japanese war period is a significant part of the battle of resistance against Japan and the national salvation movement, which did great contribution to the national anti-Japanese war and was a great treasure of the history. During the war in the 1930s and 1940s, sports, which was wide spread nationaly, as a sharp weapon, started and ended with the military action. With its unique power of building the people's body to fight against the enemy and cheering the nation, worked effectively in the front and the rear area. However, it is a great pity that the foreign and domestic study of the sports field during anti-Japanese period is rather rare, especially for the cultural study of the sports culture and spirit in that period, which was not to be found. All these leave a great room for the further study of the sports culture in the anti-Japanese war period.To carry out the study this thesis is to use the Marxist materialism, and adopt the theory of physical education and history study, with the help of science of culture, sociology and psychology. In the material preparation of the article, this thesis enjoys sufficient first-hand materials including document files, contemporaneous works, memoirs and journal and magazines, especially in the sports filed. For the research method, this thesis is to use the documentary and historical investigation with logical analysis, criticism with innovation spirit, filed research with the study of local history, and try to carry out an comprehensive investigation of the fourteen years sports movement during anti-Japanese invasion, and analyze the great national culture and spirit during the movement.For the author, the sports movement during anti-Japanese war is a rather complicated culture process, instead of a simple kind of sport, amusement or a competition. From the beginning to the end, it shows the invincible spirit of the Chinese nation and the patriotism of "everyone should make contributions to our country". It is this great spirit and patriotism that united the people and cheered the morale and led the people fighting fearlessly with the arrogant Japanese militarists and invaders and realize the victory of the great war.There are five parts in this thesis. In the first part, the thesis is to study the relevant concepts, including "culture", "sports culture", "the culture of anti-Japanese war" and "the sports culture of anti-Japanese war", and provides brief introduction. The second part is to analysis the inner cause of the prosperity of the widespread and long-lasting sports movement during the anti-Japanese movement from the melody of times, which is to save the country and fight against the Japanese invaders, and the theoretical base of the sports movement during anti-Japanese and its unique material condition.The third part is to introduce the series of sports policies by the Kuomintang government as a whole, and analyze the different sports movement in the Kuomintang controlling area, basis of anti-Japanese, led by the Party, and the territory fallen to Japanese occupation.In the fourth part, the thesis is to, from the culture and spirit perspective, analyze the Chinese national virtue of "generous and tolerance", "persistence and unyielding", "honesty without fault" and "harmony with differences" demonstrated in the sports movement in the anti-Japanese war.In the fifth part, the thesis is to conclude the historical value of the sports in this period by conclude its contribution to the anti-Japanese war first, and then, analyze its function of promoting the art of sports itself and confirm the function of sports movement in the period of inherit and develop Chinese national spirit.
