| Nowadays, College Entrance Examination is one of the most influential tests with the largest population attending it. The test is aimed to select potential and talented high school students to further their education and meanwhile guide the education carried out in high schools. With the development of the new curricular reform, the system of College Entrance Examination also experience reform correspondently.The reform for College Entrance Examination first influences the examination papers and the style of examination papers is transferring from knowledge-oriented to ability-oriented one, so is the paper of Biology in College Entrance Examination.What abilities will be tested in the College Entrance Examination of the Biology subjects? Do the students possess the abilities to cope with difficulties in the upcoming biology test? Based on the study on the Curriculum Criteria of biology, the Explanation for College Entrance Examination, and the Jiangsu examination papers in 2008,2009 and 2010, the article analyzes and predicts the possible capacity structure of the biology examination paper, including the ability to comprehend and use the fundamental knowledge of biology science, the ability to conduct experiments, the ability to collect information on biology and so on. On that basis, we separate students according to their various levels. Take the experimental ability for example, we mainly analyze the percentage experiments account for in a paper and the difficulty it poses to students. Through plenty of studies and research, we basically understand their currant abilities to conduct experiments. We also find students still have a long way to walk in conducting an experiment and comprehend some theories and their relative practices. Apparently, they are poor in design and arrange an experiment, especially poor in deduction and summarization, and they are extremely passive in reviewing the old lessons.Based on the problems uncovered in the research, we put forward some approaches to develop their abilities in experiments in some aspects, such as stimulating their learning impulse, polishing up teaching methods, attaching more importance to analyzing experiments, offering more guidance in solving experimental problems. With the efforts above, senior high school teachers can change their teaching methods in time, which is of great significance to carry out the motion of fostering high-quality and ability-oriented students. |
