The Self-organizing theory appeared in the 1970s.It is a new theory that opens out systemic evolving process. "Self-organization theory" was used to study the social system in the beginning, and then increasingly used to research community development. It has become the frontier theory on the community study today.By mosques as the spiritual center, migrant Hui Muslims in Nanjing form a spiritual community based on their Islamic belief. This spiritual community has the characteristics in self-organizing phenomena, such as self-generating, self-management, self-discipline and self service. How to drive the spiritual communities to be self-organizing? Can the methods of the spiritual communities' self-organizing evolution provide beneficial references to construct common communities?Focused on these questions and the inner factors and mechanism of the spiritual community's self-organization, this thesis embarks from the angle of systemic self-organizing view, and tries to chase down internal conditions, external environment, self-organizing mechanism, self-organizing mode and organizational form, and is supported by the qualitative research and empirical research. In nature, the study on self-organizing evolution of Nanjing migrant Hui Muslims spiritual communities is a meaningful reference for common community development.
