Rice field-fish culture is adopted as a traditional agriculture production method by rice field farmers, it is a tridimensional zoological agriculture formed by planting and aquiculture. It has a long history in China. Since zoological agriculture and the sustainability of economic growth gradually become a big trend. Yunnan is one of the cradles of rice field-fish culture, make a study of the relative rice field-fish culture is very important.The paper analyzes the way of the Dai ethnic minority in Wu-wan village protect and utilize water, soil and fertilizer based on the study of their history, traditional fish cultivating method and process of crop production. The study not only reflected the reciprocate relationship of Dai ethnic minority and the environment, but also reflected a wholly harmonious culture of agriculture. Today, as the agricultural developed so advanced, the research of traditional agriculture method of cultivating, and explore its benefit is very helpful for a big agriculture nation.The paper was divided into four parts, the first part is an introduction about this paper, it is includes the background, theories review, the meaning of the research, the research methods and the general situation of Wu-wan village. The second part introduces the rice filed fish culture case of Wu-wan village, this part discusses from three aspects:the history of rice field-fish culture, traditional rice field-fish culture and the change of rice filed-fish culture. The third part of this paper discusses the social live of Dai ethnic minority in Wu-wan village, the paper focused on the human relationships in rice field-fish culture. The forth part provided a conclusion which based on the above analyses, to reflect the value of rice-fish for its prospects.
