A key aspect in the basic education curriculum reform is the change of the new curriculum teaching method, and inquiry teaching is the good way to explore innovative teaching and the practical ability.From a questionnaire survey and interview survey by high school physics curriculum, we found that the current main method of teaching physics is "explaination"or" relate and practice".The survey classified by three levels of Nanjing school, I summed up the status of teaching of inquiry and analysis from school physics teachers. Survey results shows that:teachers have a keen interest and willing to put inquiry teaching into practice, but the teaching should not be understood. The chief reasons are:the inquiry teaching subject to the impact of the current education;the contents of explore in the textbooks are less; the students did not get the guidance and training of the explore, they're lack of the awareness of the inquiry learning.So some suggestions of the School Physical implementation of the inquiry teaching are given:we should increased training efforts to improve the theory of the teahing;we can create an environment conducive for inquiry teaching;we should provide more information and technologu on inquiry teaching which teachers can use easily;the teachers can stimulate interest in exploring and training comprehensive inquiry capabilities of the students.With the development of the reform of curriculum, inquiry teaching will become more and more concerned and play an important role in physics teaching.
