Responsibility is an ancient topic. However, it is a perpetual topic in the developing history of school education of morals, too. The development of market economy brought the rich material wealth, but we paid a lot for that development. It is proved by facts that the losing of the sense of responsibility has become to be a common social phenomenon. So developing the sense of responsibility is becoming the international voice. It is one of the important tasks to develop students'sense of responsibility. Under the background of building a well-off society, composing a harmonious socialist society, there is a special meaning for developing students'sense of responsibility.Today, most of the families are only one child, some students showed obvious weaknesses of sense of responsibility. The essay tries to explore a basic plan to develop students'sense of responsibility according to the sense of responsibility theory so that it can offer a theoretical foundation. The article consists of three parts. First, it expounds the meaning of the sense of responsibility and analyzes its content from the structure of psychology and social content; second, putting forward the necessity of educating the responsible students on the basis of a lot of research and analysis on the contemporary middle school students; Finally, discussing the basic principles of cultivating the responsibility of students and propose the implementary strategies in the ideological and political lesson from three aspects.
