21st century is one of education. The development of education will play an incredible role in the comprehensive power of one nation. There is no exception to China. But up to now, the teaching quality in higher education is taken increasingly serious, and the evaluation of the teachers'teaching is attracting more and more attention. Though great progress has been made in students'evaluation of teachers'teaching in universities in our country, there is still a long way to go, that is, no scientific system has been establsihed and no obvious and deserving outcome has been achieved in this area. Some outcome of evaluation was put aside for nothing and some evaluation index doesn't really work. So it is necessary to conduct the theoretical and empirical study on students'evaluation of teachers'teaching in universities, and the width and depth of the study in this area should be furthered and perfected, thus making the students'evaluation of teachers'teaching more effective in guding the school management in universities.This study is based on the following five theories: theory of education; theory of human resource management; system theory; cybemetrics theory; and game theory. The methods adopted in this study involves literature review: indexing, comprehending, integrating, and analyzing literature about students'evaluation of teachers'teaching from home and abroad in recent 20 years, and based on this information to summarize and compare what has been achieved; survey: questionaires are conducted among students, teachers, and some management workers in teaching affair office from M university; interview: inverviews:are conducted among students, teachers and some management workers and some relevant information is collected on purpose; statistic analysis: the results from the questionnaire are processed and analyzed and its outcome proves the hypothesis of this study.This study includes six chapters. The 1st chapter is introductory part, introducing the aim of this study, literature review from home and abroad, study content and methods. The 2nd chapter is theory review, involving theories of education, human resource management, system, cybermetics, and game. The 3rd chapter is the comparision between some universities from abroad in carrying out the students'evaluation of teachers'teaching, and the discussion of the problems in the students'evaluation of teachers'teaching in our country. The 4th chapter mainly summarizes the relevant research, including students'evaluation pattern, criterion, process, methods and the relationship between the courses and studentss'evaluation of teaching.The 5th chapter is about the case study, in which , with the combination of theory and practice, the better scheme to carry out the students'evalution of teachers'teaching is suggested for M university, which serves as the study object.Though a lot has been done here in this dissertation, there are still some problems unsettled, which will turn out to be some regrets. So much more researches are expected to be conducted to enrich and perfect the theories of the students'evaluation, and great contributions are to be made to the rapid progress in the field of education in our country.
