Modern Educational Technology is the public required course of higher normal colleges which is to cultivate normal students'informationalized teaching ability. A few of higher normal colleges is carrying on the teaching innovation about the public course of modern educational technology. Northwest Normal University also has been carrying on this kind of teaching innovation. And after the innovation the course contains two core curriculums which are the foundation of information technology for teachers and informationalized teaching and a series of optional courses. Northwest Normal University has begun its new plan about the public course of modern educational technology from September, 2009. And now the two core curriculums have been opened for normal students. The teaching of two core curriculums is based on the stereoscopic teaching materials which contain character teaching material, optical disc resources and web-based course.The object of this study is the teaching strategy of the public course based on the reform of the public course of modern educational technology in Northwest Normal University. In order to study the reform situation about the public course of modern educational technology, the author has analyzed the teaching strategy from teaching program, teaching method, teaching organization and instructional media. From the study, the author has fined some circumstances. Firstly, after the reform, the teaching strategy is more flexible than before. With the support of the stereoscopic teaching material, the common teaching activities are collaborative learning in groups and autonomous learning. Secondly, teachers make use of all kinds of teaching methods which content traditional and modern methods, such as lecture method, demonstration method, individualized learning method, discussion method and so on. These methods incarnate the feature of the combining of teaching methods and modern teaching media. In the instruction of public course, these teaching methods can not deviate from the support of the stereoscopic teaching material. Thirdly, the patterns for teaching and learning of public course include classes, groups and individual pattern. Plenty of learning resources supplied by the stereoscopic teaching materials and management of web-based course platform provide the security for the combination of these three learning forms. Through the analysis of learning strategy of the public course, the author has found the shortcomings of teaching strategy, and proposes corresponding advice. For example, on the respect of teaching program, when teachers organize teaching programs, teachers should direct students to aware the importance of public course, establish a correct learning view, develop positive habits of study. The teacher should adjust the amount of work according to students'ability and improve the evaluation indicators. On the respect of teaching methods, teachers should give the initiative to the students. On the respect of teaching organization, when students learn in groups, the teacher should emphasize the equity to students and tell them that every member should be responsible of group tasks. Facing the problem that students are not able to seriously study in autonomous learning, teachers should supervise students not to surf the net. On the respect of teaching media, there are almost one third of students who are affected by internet, there are also some students affected by music and pictures of e-books. Besides of strong supervision, the more important factor is teachers should arouse attention of students, and remind students to complete the learning task. Teachers also should direct students how to use stereoscopic teaching materials.
