A lot of attention has been paid to the early stage upbringing of 0-3 years old infant. By researching the current situation of early upbringing in rural family of Yangzhong city, we have identified the following features:most families don't have a high income, so grandparents, most of whom are peasants and don't have high level education, have taken the task of early upbringing; most infant has a good health condition and families have realized the importance of early upbringing; they are very eager to get more channels of early stage upbringing; however, the grandparents have paid much more attention to cognitive development than formal education; they tend to natural life education and traditional commanding education; as of parent-child communication, most of the time it's a one-way communication with little communication skills;on the other hand,compound-structured families have rich external resources as well as the continuously improving internal physical resources. This study also has a discussion about the research result. Firstly, the family structure is good for improving the infant's social communication skills. Rural is rich in companionship and activity places. Infant has a high control of their own development, taking advantage of the rich resources in rural. However, secondly, the disadvantages are discussed, including the impact of economic and culture to early upbringing, the harmness and goodness of grandparent-upbringing, and lacking of practice in spite of growing enthusiasm. Lastly, suggestions are given based on how to take full advantage of the rural environment, how to improve grandparent-upbringing, and how to promote scientific early upbringing.
