In 2008-2010 in the ministry of planning projects - the humanities social sciences in the reform of the rural old-age security problems of research of research .Migrant workers'social security is a serious and severe social problem in the course of urbanization of China. It's not only related to the vital interests of migrant workers, but also to the long-term stability of the country, well-off society and he realization of a harmonious society .In 2009, there are nearly 230 million migrant workers in China, of which 70 million in the construction industry. The migrant workers group in construction industry is a more special group in migrant workers .Due to the absence of technology and education, most migrant workers mainly to do some menial work, got low social security coverage, they have become the most vulnerable groups of Chinese Society. This is the common result of the situation of migrant workers and their social conditions. This paper combined the status and characteristics of migrant workers in construction industry, preliminary discussed social security of migrant workers in construction industry and analyzes their status of social security. Finally, to find out the deep-seated reasons of missing in social security of migrant workers in the construction industry. Therefore, I utilize my long working experience in the construction business, and survey by questionnaire to investigate the insure and payment of insurance of their wages, work injuries, medical care, unemployment, pension, housing fund, etc in the site of the work of farmers. On this basis, I get access to the relevant literature, reading related research issues at home and abroad, and analyze their research successes and shortcomings, and learn from foreign countries on the successful experience of similar problems, construct the basic principles and specific measures of social security of migrant workers ,such as that workers social security system model should be taken into account the principles of equity and efficiency, breaking the traditional economic structure, using labor relations in order to determine the relationship of social security, construct a multi-tiered social security system, in order to achieve the goal of safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the migrant workers in construction industry.
