| One basic idea of the new round of basic education curriculum reform focuses on improving students' creative spirit and practical ability, which is closely related to the development of students' high order thinking skills. Therefore, improving students'high order thinking skills has become the emphasis of modern education. The paper explores improving students' high order thinking skills by applying PIE model to the teaching process of information technology at high school.Firstly, the author indicates that information technology course has the advantages of upgrading students' high order thinking skills according to its characteristics at high school. PIE(Plan-Implement-Evaluate) model, guided by constructivist learning theory, can improve learners' ability of analysis, synthesis and evaluation. High order thinking skills is such an abstract concept which has not received academic consensus among scholars so far. As a result, the author adopts "comprehensive capacity" training as a research priority based on Bloom field goal on the classification of cognitive theory-based as well as the characteristics of the study.Secondly, the author proves that PIE model can improve students'high order thinking skills from the perspective of constructivist learning theory, metacognitive learning theory as well as multiple intelligences learning theory.Thirdly, the author proposes the teaching strategies and implementation steps for improving high order thinking skills with PIE model, combined with relevant theories of high order thinking skills, and with the example of "information technology infrastructure". At the P stage, the author initially plans the layout of learning target, with learners'original learning experience as the prerequisite; at the I stage, students explore and solve tasks under the situations created by teachers; at the E stage, teachers use a wide range of evaluation methods. All these processes are reflected in the typical case of "multi-media information processing".Finally, the author applies the experiment plan to actual teaching through the group teaching experiment. The result shows these methods and measures do have a positive effect on improving students' high order thinking skills. |
