With the advent of the informational society in the 21 st century,global competition has become increasingly fierce and the society is urgent more highly qualified talents.Facing this case,the study of the “High-Order Thinking Skills” of learners has become an important topic in the field of education in all over the world.“High-Order Thinking Skills” refers to the comprehensive ability that occurs at a high level of cognitive level,and the cultivation of High-Order Thinking Skills is the core of promoting the growth of learners.The high school period has been regarded as an important reserve phase for all types of talents at all levels,it has become extremely important to cultivate senior high school students' High-Order Thinking Skills in terms of individual,and the development of the country and society.The high school political science with a set of highly integrated and logical disciplines plays an irreplaceable role in fostering students' higher-order thinking ability.In the “General High School Ideological and Political Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)” issued by the Ministry of Education in the fall of 2017,it has been clearly stated in the curriculum philosophy,curriculum objectives,and curriculum content that training requirements for senior high school students' thinking ability,which fully reflected the feasibility and necessity of cultivating students' High-Order Thinking Skills in high school politics class.Through research,we found there are many deficiencies in the cultivation of High-Order Thinking Skills in teaching high school politics.On the one hand,the domestic research on the cultivation of students' High-Order Thinking Skills in teaching high school politics has not been taken seriously.Nowadays,a few literatures reach this point in the mass.On the other hand,in the existing research,neither has the concept of High-Order Thinking Skills of the discipline combined with the characteristics of political disciplines been formed,nor there is a set of more systematically developed and specialized techniques designed to meet the characteristics of political disciplines.In such a case,the article used the literature analysis method,interview method,questionnaire survey method,and comprehensive analysis method.Take high school political science as an example,based on Bloom's cognitive classification target theory and high school ideological and political education curriculum standards as a starting point to explore the cultivation of High-Order Thinking Skills in high school political subject.It is expected that a new research perspective can be provided for teaching high school politics and other disciplines and provide ideas for the implementation of the new curriculum reform.First of all,through the analysis of the literature,this research has summarized the relevant studies on High-Order Thinking Skills at home and abroad,and proposed the problems to be studied.Combined with Bloom's cognitive classification target theory and the characteristics of high school ideological and political disciplinary,the concept of High-Order Thinking Skills and performance of discipline thinking ability are refined.The high school ideological and political disciplinary thinking ability of high school period is mainly represented by “learning comprehension ability”,“practical application ability” and “innovation transfer ability”,among which “practical application ability” and “innovation transfer ability” are the performance of disciplines' High-Order Thinking Skills.Further,based on Bloom's theory of target classification theory in cognitive field,this paper analyzes the requirements of the new standards of high school ideological and political disciplinary in cultivating students' High-Order Thinking Skills,and summarizes the explicit behavior characteristics of High-Order Thinking Skills in high school ideological and political classes.Then,by the above theoretical research,relevant questionnaires for High-Order Thinking Skills were designed.Through the “high school students' High-Order Thinking Skills questionnaire”,a sample survey of the development of High-Order Thinking Skills of 205 students in Hanzhong Middle School was conducted,and the following conclusions were reached: high school students generally have a shortage of thinking ability,especially High-Order Thinking Skills,such as: lack of knowledge of thinking,weak awareness of independent thinking,poor ability to transfer thinking.Through the “Questionnaire for High School Ideological and Political Teachers in Cultivating Students' High-Order Thinking Skills”,50 ideological and political teachers from 3 high schools in Shaanxi Province were surveyed.The following results were obtained.Most teachers had some understanding of higher-order thinking and its importance.However,there are still lack of practical training strategies and methods as well as scientific assessment methods for higher-order thinking in specific teaching.Finally,we put forward the problems and advice that should be paid attention to cultivating methods and applying High-Order Thinking Skills into high school ideological and political disciplines.And on the basis of the current investigation,the factors that affect the development of students' High-Order Thinking Skills,such as students themselves,teachers,parents,and society are analyzed.It puts forward the method of cultivating students' High-Order Thinking Skills in high school political disciplines,the principles that should be followed,and the issues that need attention.
